The Event:
Last year, we were contacted by UK Sport for their Tackling Racism In Sport: Time for Action event they were planning at the Mattioli Woods Leicester Tigers Rugby Stadium in March this year. The conference centred on tackling racism in sports, with a live stream platform amplifying its reach and impact. It was a privilege to contribute to such an important conversation.
What we Did:
This event was months in the making, ensuring that not only the venue had the right equipment but also that our streaming platform was finely tuned to meet all of the client’s requirements. A dedicated Event Director and Audio-Visual Manager were assigned to the pre planning of the event as well as being the dedicated contacts onsite.
In the Main Plenary room, we erected a striking 5m x 2m LED Video Wall, complemented by a sturdy 2m x 1 Global Truss Stage Deck. Our audio setup featured the powerful Brooke 6 speaker PA system, augmented by 2 x Sennheiser quad box microphone systems and additional Sennheiser EW100 G4 Single unit microphone systems, ensuring all guest speakers were equipped for success, with extras for Q&A sessions, in total we had 14 microphones for this event.
Furthermore, we established two breakout rooms, each equipped with our reliable 8ft Elite Portable Pull Up Screen and Epson EB-535W UST 3400 lumens projectors.
To capture the essence of the event, all three rooms were outfitted with our advanced Birdog Eyes P100 cameras, expertly managed by our Roland V600 UHD – Complete Production Case and Roland VR4HD HD AV Mixer 4Ch with HDMI in/out & Touch Multi-Viewer. This setup enabled seamless live streaming from all rooms simultaneously, allowing online participants to engage with conference sessions from their preferred location.
To ensure accessibility, the main conference room had a representative from British Sign Language, signing the whole event and the online audience were able to select captions or Welsh interpretation, there was also added wheelchair ramps to the stage area. Online questions were facilitated through communication headsets to the event organisers.
The result? A seamless blend of technology and expertise, ensuring a memorable and impactful event experience for all involved!
